I managed to find a &quot;small town&quot; volunteer opp in Argentina: Asociacion MAPU in Esquel, northern Patagonia (http://www.asociacionmapu.org/en).

They deal mainly with indigenous land issues in the region and are in the process of starting a radio station. Good folks.</description>
