		<description>Thanks for this. Early today I watched a news report here in Otavalo about a mudslide that took the lives of four people. It was incredibly sad to watch, and also frustrating to see the disproportionate attention paid to tourists stuck on top of Machu Pichu. I imagine they made it out just fine.</description>

I am hoping that my guide on the inca trail is ok and am thinking of the porters and their families. A frantic search to find a charity to donate to resulted in success oon finding peruvian red cross and shelterbox i think it is called.
